hey guys. i was wondering if there was a feature where i can duplicate exactly whats on 1 deck. for example, if i have, lil wayne- got money playing on deck 1, i wanna be able to play it on deck 2 as well at the same point where deck 1 is simultaneously. it sounds a lil confusing. but write back if you need me to elaborate or give me some answers if you understand what i am saying.

Some skins have a short cut for "clone deck". I do not see a keyboard short cut for that feature though...

there are multi-instance skins available on the skins page, but i'm a little confused about what you want to do. personally i'd just drag the same file to deck 2 and go from there. unless there's something specific you're talking about doing.

You want "clone_deck" (or clone_deck_nopitch which doesn't match the pitch)...

Virtual DJ has this feature too...
As mentioned its called clone_deck...
You can find this function in keyboard shortcuts tab, in VDJ options, and asign it to any key, or midi trigger

yeah I use it all the time, just set up a keyboard shortcut as mentioned, alternatively, the 'turntablist' skin has a button under each deck to clone it to the other.

okay guys maybe i'm kinda confused about what started all this but after playing around with it, doesnt cloning the deck do exactly what i said earlier on?
if i'm wrong please expand, expound, explain. my curiosity has gotten the better of me.

the clone deck feature can do it while playing.... the same file will be duplicated at the exactmonent and play together

i was never able to make them play at the same time. always off on the cbg and then had to adjust. was faster to drag n drop press spacebar with one hand and click play with other.
oh well, to each their own.

but this is while playing.... in mid sentance hit the clone command and boom both decks playing same song at same time.....i used that with the vci-300 for scratching cause my left hand scratches better than right

Yes indeed, i got a clone_ no pitch shortcut (no pitch because i use cdj's and i can do that manually) on the left and right arrows of my lappy and it works 100%.

yes... the answer is given and i confirm that it works seemlessly
very handy in many situations
you can set shortcut keys as said earlier...i have two set.. one for each deck
cloning the decks.. can give you a great advantage of doing some tricks.. scratches.. double beats.. spinbacks in the middle of song transition...
in fact i have had to clone the deck over to another while it turn that deck off and back on because it started acting up with timecode.
Had to do the same when one of my decks got burnt out. Initiate a song with only one deck .. clone it over.. switch fader across.. then cue up the next song on the same player.. over and over...
clone deck is a shortcut that everyone should have set somewhere.. never can tell when it may be needed

ok..som from my understanding...i need to have a specific skin. is that right? i was looking for the clone deck option on the regular skin and couldnt find it. if some1 can kinda give me a step by step on how to find it that would be helpful.

ok i figured it out. it just seems to be a lil bit behind but no big deal ill adjust it manually. BUT if theres a better way then please let me know.

funny how you are getting a delay from cloning the deck
It should be dead on... whether you do it from a keyboard shortcut or from a button on the skin
Hmmm..... If you are using Timecoded Vinyls or Timecoded CDs... check to see that your signals are at 100%.
I found that once and twice my clone is a bit off.. but that is very rare...and normally this is when my timecode signal goes awry
