in the Christmas Carol with george c. scott as scrooge (another good version) Fred ( as you know I have often said many wonderful people are named Fred , for reasons unknown) , Fred Holliwell , Scrooge's nephew says to his uncle " I've often thought of Christmastime ,when it comes around ,as a good time , a kindly ,forgiving, charitable time , a time when men and women open there shut up hearts , freely , to there fellow creatures .......and so uncle, although it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket , i think it has done me good , and for that I say , God Bless it !

What most people do not realize Marcel, is that the Grinch was voiced by Boris Karloff. The famed horror actor from the 50s. The name of the singer is Thurl Ravenscroft.
