Passed away today. The wife of Star Trek creator, Gene Rodenberry, was 76. Mrs. Rodenberry appeared in all Star Trek series, the only person to do so.

i am sad to hear that ... she was great ....she was Bone's head nurse i think ?
that show was amazing and so ahead of it's time ....
she was an advocate for animals and a wonderful person......
i'm sure she has beamed up to a far better place .....

so when i bought my first computer guess who's voice clips were used to customize the sound alerts?

i'm gonna revoke your "nerd card"
you can set almost any sound file your computer has a codec for as an alert in your sound set up
control panel - sound and audio device properties - sounds tab -
select an alert and clik browse, find an appropriate - inappropriate in our case - sound file and select it. whenever that instance of an alert comes up it will play. you can even set it to play stuff when you first turn it on and windows starts up - like say the diner scene in "when harry met sally"
