Tema: maybe is a little bug on headphone_balance

Today I have seen that when I move the master_balance's knob, the volume of channel which hasn't to change, changes as well.

Example:
by the console of my sound card I can look at the level of the song in real-time.
if I move master_balance on L, the R channel disappers (this is right) but the peak on the channel L change too:
- without moving master_balance, I have both of peaks on 8 (the range is on a scale from 1 to 10)
- when I move master_balance on L channel, R channel becomes 0 while the peak on L channel raise from 8 to 10.

The same happens when I move master_balance on R channel.
I hope I made the point clear!!

I apologize: I am talking about master_balance, not about headphone_balance which doesn't exist.

Please, I will be happy if someone can change the title of this post.

This is normal, it actually simulates the analog behaviour of
a pan pot, as the constant sound power level is mentained.
So by panning the mono signal to one extreme you gain 3dB.

Should work the same for the balance pot for stereo signals.

However modern digital apps for audio editing have a
setting to modify pan control law, so one can personalize
it to it's own preference. VDj does not have though.

I have never seen a behaviour like that in audio amplifiers.

Maybe I have understood what happens in VDJ:
when I move the knob on L, I don't get the pure L sound but I get the L+R sound (this is what happens in AM modulation choosing the MONO sound which allows to delete the bandwith in high frequency).

Here could help us only a developer of VDJ software in order to understand what they did in the code.
