Hi All,
I was wondering if any of guys could give me a few pointers. I've tried to look at some of the sticky guides but I "don't have the necessary accreditations" yet.
I used to DJ many moons ago, playing house and trance off good old vinyl in clubs across Central Scotland.
I have most of my vinyl on mp3 now. I have been asked to come out of retirement for an old school night.
I would like a controller that I could manually adjust, just like vinyl. I would rather not go down the timecode vinyl route as I like the idea of being compact and portable (in case I have to make a quick getaway, lol!)
Should I get another soundcard? I just have a bog standard Dell laptop. I will be using virtual dj.
Many Thanks in advance.
Steve

What do you mean by manually adjust?
And yes, you will most likely want to get a high-quality soundcard. Built in ones are usually not all that.

any idea of the budget you want to spend if it's just a one off night...

On the old technics I used to speed up and slow down the track by moving the plate with my fingers.
I'll consider any budget at the moment.
What soundcards would you recommed?
Thanks
