I play a bunch of video files from the internet for a certain gig I do. Most files are ok. One file type has been giving me some issues. wmv2 files seem to be an enigma of sorts. It'll play fine in Windows Media Player but will be totally pixelated or washedout completely. I've downloaded the K-lite Mega codec pack along with every other codec pack for windows media player I can find to no avail.
Any ideas?

Found this answer on another website:
get vdub 1.8.1 (or higher)
get WMV9-VCM (forgot where..use google)
goto http://home.comcast.net/~fcchandler/Plugins/WMV/index.html
and get the wmv plugin for vdub
install WMV9-VCM
You best bet however is to get your videos in an MPG or AVI format. Much easier to work with.
