You can install the new version, and still keep the old one. That way if you are not happy, you can simply switch back. Just a thought.....

o cool but do you think that it will fix my problems .. and or whats costing my problems

No, I am not sure what is causing your problem. I bet someone chimes in with a suggestion or two for you though ;-)

not a fix for your current version, but when you go to install new virtualDJ, when the installer asks where you would like to install, change the directory to someting like \virtualdj5
this will let you have both new and old on your system.

There have been many improvements to the sound engine since 3.2 mostly focusing around the DVS (timecode and scratch) features.

As sort of a testimonial, I must say that the newer versions (5+) are better performers than the older ones, especially where it concerns latency and sound issues while using external devices, in my experience, at least...Hope this helps in your decision ;)

No need to do that ... just rename your current virtualdj.exe file to virtualdj_3.exe ... then install VDJ 5 ... you will be fine. But your database will not be ported to the new version. Your VirtualDJ v5 database will have to grow from scratch.

The improved speed of pulling tracks off your hard drive .. no not necessarily because that is a drive access time/performance issue and VDJ 5 won't necessarily improve that.

As for the computer sound .. yes the sound engine has been improved from version 3 to version 5.

version 5.4.... hmmmmm
pretty sure it is not that far

basically i think it only goes up to 5.2.1 for now

and yes.. 5.x does correct a h a lot of issues you may be having in 3.2
better quality too
