As a last ditch effort to eliminate usb audio dropouts with the Audio 4 soundcard I have....I\'d like to try to see if I can use a PCMCIA USB Audio adapter rather than the normal usb ports on my laptop.

I keep getting an something that says \"error in asio driver\"

Does anyone know if it is possible to run this soundcard through a cardbus usb adapter? Those idiots won\'t help me because I\'m using VDJ. Fuckers.

Does anyone have any good ideas toward getting rid of these embarrassing usb dropouts?

I think you must reinstall the drivers. Before that you should test your "new" usb ports with a usb stick or an harddrive.
Just to be shure that windows has installed the usb ports correct.

Tried that already. The ports work fine. All devices I have connected to it are working.....and the leds on the NI Audio 4 light but but VDJ keeps throwing back a message that says "error in asio driver".

This is pissing me off
 

Set the Preset slider to Fastest

Put Latency on Auto (from the drop down)
 
Error in the asio driver means either the drivers are not installed correctly, on the wrong usb port, channel assignments are wrong in config/sound or the program was opened with the card not connected or to the right usb port.

This adaptor should work, but ideally a direct link to the MB is preferred.
 
Mabye before conected the audio 4 dj you used your other soundcard for timecode..Deactivate the timecode from the sound settings panel,select audio 4 dj as soundcard and try again..give it a shot.
 
Install the latest Traktor pro demo this will update your F/W and drivers.
