This topic might be partly covered in other threads, yet I did not find a solution yet.
I purchased the Hercules RMX +/- 2m ago. With it comes VDJ limited edition.
Installation was no problem and in the beginning all (seemd to) work perfectly.
I started the 20day PRO evaluation period. By the end of this period I noticed that after a few songs the program suddenly went to "non-responding" when I pushed the "load song" button on the RMX. I reinstalled VDJ after expiry of the 20d period, but the problem is still there.
I cannot really figure out why it crashed nor does there seems to be a specific song that causes the freezing.
I have the feeling (but was unable to reproduce to confirm this) that it might have something to do with the fact that I select the songs from my iTunes library, which is huge (+/- 70 gig, over 10000 songs).
Other than that it is extremely anoying and what frustrates me is that I have no idea where to start looking for the cause.
My system : PC (not laptop), Windos Vista, UAC disabled, 4Gig Ram, Core 2Duo.
I also have attached a MIDIMAN 2x2 midi interface, which is not in use, yet is connected.
Antivirus = Panda 2009.
Other than that, just the normal Windows programs that are running.
Any suggestion is welcome. Normally I'm able track the problem quite quickly but for this one I'm completely in the dark at the moment.
Thanks for your help,
HM

May I ask a question,
Do some of your tracks (especially tracks brought from itunes) contain DRM.
I know some users have problems with DRM and VirtualDJ. This certainly sounds like a similar problem your having.

Indeed some have DRM, I will check if that causes the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Ok, so I removed and then reinstalled my RMX and VDJ, kept the MIDIMAN disconnected.
I did some further trial and error after having another freeze shut down Panda AV.
After that everything seems to work well (so far ..)
I think I found the problem, though not 100% sure.
FYI I attach the windows message that is shown on the screen when the freeze occurs. I doesn't make any sense to me by the way ...
