Tópico: A perfect example of a Serato "Dj"....imposter

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

This guy posted an ad on craigslist looking for someone to "back him up" and play his "over flow" events and insisted whoever plays his events NEEDS to have the ttm57 with Serato and play 4 turntables, presumably to meet his "standard"........his standard? (1) The guy steals his name form not 1 but 2 famous "Dj Unknown's", (2) claims to be a New York Dj but he lives and advertises his gig in Tempe, Az. (maybe he USED TO BE a NYC Dj) (3) Check out the MTV2 Logos on his vids, (4) has 4 turntables set up but can barely mix, never does anything you can't do with a mouse and I don't think I ever saw him touch the mixer in the whole video clip (although tutning the record over on one of the TT's was a nice touch).........if that is the Serato standard of professionalism I am glad I am a VDJ user!

I don't know about the name thing but you can't blame him for having high standards. This has nothing to do with serato the company. Its just his preffered choice of dj software.

Not slamming serato or the company....just reiterating how so many Djs think they are so professional JUST beacuse they use Serato. If someone wants to make the argument that (A) They are professional because they use a certain software and (B) If YOU aren't using that software you aren't professional enough for them please don't steal your name and steal your videos from TV, because that is the antithesis of professional!

Dj Unkown was a famous Miami bass & breakbeat Dj in the 80's and early 90's and had several club hit records and then there is the Dj Unknown who actually is from New York who won the DMC contest a while back (no records yet to my knowlege).

I can't steal someones name. I would feel so fake.
