VirtualDJ - Yet another sound question

Hello all. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this, I've never used Virtual DJ before but a mate of mine recommended it to me, so forgive me if my terminology is way off! I had a look around but this is as far as I can get for help with my problem.

I've got a SoundBlaster Live! DF80 soundcard on my computer but I'm having a few problems getting it set up right. I've got my headphones plugged into the rear output on my soundcard and my speakers in the usual speaker out (as pictured here: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/426/screendj.jpg), then I've got the audio properties set to 5.1 (as pictured here: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/8237/screensound.jpg).

I am getting separate outputs from VDJ, but when the arrow in the top bar is set to 'cue' I can only hear the left turntable, no matter where the main crossfader is set to. When I move the arrow to 'mix' I just get the same output as the speakers.

Is this right? Only 'mix' will let me hear the right turntable, but then that's not much use as I just get the same output as the speakers. With 'cue' I can't bring the next track in because I can't hear the right turntable.

Is my setup correct? How could I fix this?
