Last night i tried out my new Mackie Speakers. approx 16 inches high 10 inchs wide and only weighing in at 9.8 kg with a whopping sound spec of max output of 1200 w per speaker, the sound was fantastic as most owners of this make already experienced, however a first for me. So small and convenient to lug around, well pleased.

"Mackie" is pretty general. What speaker model are you talking about?

Im a bit confused by the fact you mention 'monitor'...
are you going to use these inside a DJ booth, to get a bit more clarity out of a club sound system (while you mix)
or are you hoping to get a big sound in a big room from tiny speakers??

They look good, id use them in a small to medium room, but a bass bin would definately help them out..

I have used the "mackies" as well before for weddings and other events that didn't require HUGE sound. They are very efficient and the sound is simply amazing. I have never heard such a little speak create such full sound.

Sounds great. A DJ I work with talked of the mackie Bass bins, I will check them out. Because my regular Venues are of different size I am trying out for the accoustic variation with these, with tonight and last nights gigs I am well pleased. Im always happy to hear others opinion, thanks guys .
