Tópico: Problem in Vista with a NUMARK DXM01 USB.

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Can anyone help me configure the VDJ to work with a NUMARK DXM01 USB. It worked perfect in XP and was recognised, although I dont know if it is me or something but the PC cannot find the DXM01.
Many thanks

I spent alot of time on this problem a couple of years ago. No matter what I did in Vista Pro, VDJ would only detect it as USB soundcard 1 and USB Soundcard 2. Tried reinstalling VDJ, reinstall Vista, different USB ports, nothing worked. I loaded XP and the soundcard came up straight away as an option. I havent gone back to Vista since.

hey Teary , i already asked him to move from another post and start his own topic , which he did ......he may not know his way around the forum real well , which is ok when yer new .......

but yer suggestion was good , fer a guy who likes the Bears ......

based on what Grug said above it seems like there is no driver for Vista pro ......

either download the driver if there is one or get a different device ....unfortunately i learned this too ....make sure any new device

has drivers so that it is compatible with your operating system

I've just been messing around with Windows 7 and I've found a configuration of the DXM01USB that would probably also work for vista now.

The problem is in Vista and Windows 7 it doesnt come up with the DXM01USB hardware icon in the sound settings of VDJ.

The solution is to Set:

Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer / Left Deck : First Card / Right Deck Second Card
Sound Card: 2 Cards - Speakers (USB Audio Device) (two of these)

When you are selecting the sound cards there is a drop down box and it should say Speakers (USB Audio Device) twice, choose the first one for card one and second for card two.

Next have your RCA Red and White output going out from closest to the USB ports at the back of the DXM and the switch is set for ch2
On the DXM the Mode switch should be on CH1-CH2 Mode and CF Mode Normal.

you should now be able to play one side of the DXM out to the amp/speakers while previewing the other side on headphones.
I havent gone back to try this on Vista, and dont really have the time to, maybe someone else can?

Make sure the soundcard sound levels are exactly the same on both USB devices. By default it will only show you one speaker control at a time

If its not working on the correct side simply change the order of the soundcard in the settings mentioned above.

I have a problem with this configuration:

The problem is that when I use virtual dj and I put two songs, each one in each channel, when I use headphones to listen to the song for channel 2, is only heard in the right speaker of the headphones, however when I put the channel 1, is heard from the two speakers.

Also, I can't use the master mode of the headphones, I can only use the mode CH1-CH2.

Someone can help me please?

Thanks.
