Tópico: VDJ Screen res

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Having used VDJ for a while now, I have noticed that all my Laptops at some point or another has to self adapt to the VDJ screen resolution and sometimes causing it to shut down despite the correct settings being used. Also alot of the skins designed don't cover all the high end resolution and therefore the use of the resizer is advised but not always successful . Can the designers of future versions of VDJ have an in built stability feature or skin designers cover most screen resolutions. I note from other DJ software, changing skins don't cause problems such as flicker or instability. Putting it simply, can you stop VDJ shutting down when the wrong screen res is used.

Thanks

Chris

I read somewhere in another thread that if the skin engine used vector graphics instead of bitmap then future skins could be automatically scaleable to fit any screen size. This would require a massive change to the way skins are compiled I believe.

It is a pain that some skins are a certain size and there are so many different screen resolutions. I can never get the skin resizer tool to work at all.

Luckily I use Vmix 5.4 (1280x800) for my netbook and MiniSkin (1024x600) for my UMPC and everything's fine.

There is a thread about this already on either the skins or new features forum!

Yes, this would be good.

I agree that Virtual DJ skins should definetely be vector based rather than bitmap based. SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) seems like the perfect format. It's XML-based and allows scripting, animation and even bitmap importing if necessary.

I understand that VDJ 6 corrects this issue although having VDJ 6 now I still get the message pop telling me the screen res is wrong.

Yes, if you load a skin whose defined dimensions are larger than your set resolution you will get the warning. Doesn't detract from the use of it. If people don't run the skin in 'maximized' mode then the skin will have sections not on the screen - so hence the 'warning'.

Thank you CSToll . Thats good to know .

What is to resolve? Previously maximizing a skin would change the system's resolution to match the skin. Now the skin changes to match the set resolution of the monitor. So not sure what needs to be resolved?

for example when i load the wide screen skin and an large it to my screen res of 1680 to 1050 it seems that its not sharp
is it posible to change the default font because when i look at the title of the song wich is displayed on the deck its a mess

secound is there a posability to change the browser font to make it larger (on ssl i can use ctrl + and ctrl - to adjust the browser font to make it bigger)

thanks for your help
