Hey guys, i'm a self learner and have been eying the korg nano series for MIDI control of samples and effects in VDJ5. I would just like some input on the different models from people who own them, I have favored the nano kontrol so far, but I'm wondering if the nano pad would be better, but at the same time, wtf would i use the XY pad for? Thanks

I need help please with programming my nano kontrol. I'm trying to program it to the sampler of VDJ ver6. I can't get my controller to behave like a mouse button press. With my mouse i can press the left button on "PLAY" button and it would start to play the sample and when it's pressed again it would stop. In addition when I press the right mouse button on the "PLAY" button it would play in stutter mode. Where when ever the right mouse button is pressed it would play.
Using the MIDI mapper, I tried programming a button using "sample 1 play" it would play but when pressed again it wouldn't stop. I tried using "sample 1 play_stop" but it would just start to play and stop when I hold the button down, and when released it would start from the beginning of the sample, I can't get it to stop playing.
I've gone over the Wiki page on scripting but I can't seem to get the right values.
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem,
you have to get the Korg Kontrol Editor. It is available on their website for free.
Once you have that you need to change the button settings from momentary to toggle, so that it behaves like a mouse click.
To save your changes go to communications => write set and choose the option to overwrite previous settings.
This should work, check out youtube videos of how to set up your korg nano if what I told you doesnt work
Got mine today and just figured it out after a little while
