Tópico: Maya 44 + Timecodes + Herc Steel + VDJ6

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello, I was thinking of buying Virtual DJ 6, and I already have a Maya 44 USB and Hercules Steel Controller.

I want to start using virtual vinyl so that I have a more "hands on" approach to mixing. Would I be able to use the Maya 44 USB, Hercules Steel, and Turntables (with Time coded vinyls) as they are? - Basically what I mean is do I now have everything that is needed to do this?

I wouldn't need to use an external mixer to route it all together would I, since im using the maya?

Much appreciated :) Thanks

Yeah you do just need pro!! :)

btw I know you got the steel but IMO I would sell that and the Maya and get a RMX and then you are asured to get up and running!!!

Good luck

Cool thanks for the help, as long as it works properly I think im going to stick with the maya and the steel for now :). I'm such an idiot though, the company initially sent me the RMX and I informed them and swapped it for the Steel because I thought it had more features. I should have kept it though they wouldnt have noticed!!!

Also which timecoded Vinyls work the best? I'm talking about the vinyls themselves! Serato, Traktor, Virtual Vinyls? Please be honest as I do know this is a Virtual DJ Forum :p.

I've heard that the new traktor vinyls are meant to be pretty good! Let me know what you guys think :D

Depends on preference now with VDJ6 since all are supported!! :) I like to keep things uniform to a certin extent!! So I just got the Virtual Vinals but now with Vers 6 Serrato and Cue and a host of others are supported which is cool since serrato has color vinals!!! In the end its up to you!!

Good luck...

Thanks mate for your help :) I'm going to go with the serato coloured vinyl! And then that way if I ever do decide to move onto serato in the future I won't have to spend more cash on that as well.

Cheers man

It's harder to see the groove on coloured records, but then do you need to see the groove with timecode? I don't do timecode so don't know

Hey guys i got a question that i need help with.
I just set up my maya 44 usb soundcard with my turntables and mixer and i get 100% signal from my timecoded vinyls. When i play it i can only hear sound out of my headphones when i cue it up on my mixer and i get no sound coming from my speakers. My speakers are plugged in through my mixer under "Master". How can i get sound out of my speakers?

Are you using powered speaker? if not you need a amp to use passive speakers..
