Throuhout an evening of DJing, I get songs that will mostly crackle but only while playing on deck 2. Anyone else had this experience?

Thanks,

What sound card are you running if any bud?

That deck is using the on-board Realtek sound card.

What soundcard are you using in the other one?

I got that same thing when i used to use an ebay style Usb card and my own soundcard to try and run 2 channels. It maybe the same reason as mine your processor just can't run it. Ideally you want a soundcard that runs Asio drivers.

I run the Creative X-fi Mod on deck one as I do a lot of playlist auto-mix before & during dinner. Waiting for the price to come down to get another one.... they have them @ $24.99 direct but are out of stock. I'm on the "Notify" list.

Hi,

X-Fi soundcard work faster than realtek onboard ones. SO when you try to combine those to, you will get noise and pops, cause the latency difference between them.

It is better to use ONE 5.1 soundcard instead of two different ones.

Thanks ACW! I just bought new QSC 12s and the Ksub and they really brought out the crackling whereas with my JBL Eons it was more like "did I hear that?". I've seen that model soundcard icluded in your post but don't remember the name. I'll check it out on their site.

Thanks again,
Jay

Anytime ;-)

Good Luck!
