Hi guys. Hope all is well in VDJ land.

I love the features of the automix on the newer versions (5+), however, I'm having mega database issues when trying to upgrade. In all honesty i'm not too fussed about upgrading - my gig machine's still on 4.1 and it's running fantastically...touch wood!!!

Anyway, as i say, i love the features of the newer automix and was wondering if there's anyway the new automix could be implemented into the old version? What i mean is...is there like an automix download that is available to upgrade the feature on the older versions of the program without actually going for the full program upgrade? Judging from what I've seen there isn't but i just thought I'd ask.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...:o)

You thought right, no there isn't however what is your reason for not upgrading although I would wait for 6.0.2

I'm a great believer in 'If it's not broken, don't fix it'.

My gig machine's working great right now...although there are a couple of things in the newer versions that I like. Automix being one of them. Not so much automix itself, but the fact that you can modify it to suit yourself instead of it automatically sticking ridiculous cut out cues all over the place!

I've just tried to upgrade to 5.0.7 and my database is all over the place. I've tried replacing it on each of my drives, tried enabling/disabling id3 tags/tried cleaning and fixing and yet half my tracks are not being read, i can't get bpm's on some, the key doesn't show up on any of them, the 'artist - title' tagging system isn't working etc etc etc.

So unless i'm missing something pretty major, i guess i'll need to stay with the older version or upgrade and do a full re-scan of my tracks.

Bit of a catch 22 but hey...it's no fun if it's easy!

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...:o)
