Ihave been a serato user for years But I am growing tired of al the new updates and things I must keep buying Like the new mac needed to run the video
I have the rane mixer ttm57 and two denon 3500 cdj's will that run the virtual Dj software?
I am told NO because it is not midi but I see the new vdj 6 says it can map and midi?
any help

Hi!
I´m not familiar with the rane mixer. If it has midi capabilities you can use it to control functions within VDJ. If it has no midi then you can just use it as a normal mixer. Just hook up your CD-Players to the mixer.
Then download the timecode for CD-Players from this website. Burn it on CD. Insert the CD´s in your CD-Player. Do the settings in VDJ and there you go. You can use the CD-Player for controlling the music in VDJ. (Scratch, stop, play, pitch etc.)

One thing i forgot to mention. You will need a soundcard which is asio compatible and has two stereo inputs and two stereo outputs.

The TTM57 from Rane is tightly integrated into the SSL software ... outside of using the SSL software the TTM57 is just a non-MIDI Mixer.
Which would mean you need an alternative 4IN/4OUT soundcard for doing timecode. And there will not be any MIDI capabilites that could be used with VirtualDJ.
