If you are using a laptop your issue is a ground loop. You can test this by simply unplugging the lappy and letting it run on batteries. If the noise is gone, there is you problem. To correct it you can try using something like this http://www.pssl.com/Search?q=HumX&x=0&y=0&by=s

tried unplugging the power supply, but that didnt get rid of problem. Is there a way to reset all settings back to the way it should be. It sounds like there is way too much bass and the speakers arent connected properly but they are.

What version of VirtualDJ are you using?

Are you using external controller or the mare software alone?

Turn safe mode on. This goes against what most people say. However, I have found that it works for me. If it doesn't, you're out one click of a mouse.

For personal experience my first guess would be the grounding of your power supply.

The quick fix is to wrap the grounding pins with duct tape, but in the long run you shoud get an non-grounded power-plug adaptor.

What I like my MacBook is that the power supply comes with changable plugs. Very DJ-friendly :)

he might have a drive that's dying ........
