Hi, can anyone help me figure out how to record my vinyl to mp3 through the RMX controller. I have so far connected turntable to inputs 1,2 then I selected source on the RMX but when I press record I get 'error soundcard not selected' however I have the RMX selected as the soundcard.
Also I have read in other posts that there is a Rip Vinyl option on VDJ however I can't seem to find it on Ver. 5.2.1.

The record function in VDJ is a little bit tricky as it won't work if your soundcard is in ASIO mode.
Go to the audio configuration and unckeck the box "apply EQ to Inputs", which will change the Rmx to WDM, allowing you to record.
The Rip Vinyl application, which operate on the same principal, can be found in Start > Programs > Virtual DJ
Another solution would be to use Audacity, a free audio recorder and editor:
