I will get to the point. PCDJ. I am registered as a PCDJ member as I have purchased software from them in the past?????????????
I don't want to get into the whelms of slagging them off and don't wish to encourage anyone to do so as I know a number of the guys have provided great software for them and give advise on their boards. I am fed up of the spam they keep sending out advertising some inferior products of which I have tried and found to be 4th grade to VDJ. The easiest solution would be to cancel my membership of the site, but as I as I am a registered user of past software I feel that I have a right to keep an eye on the boards etc. The difference between PCDJ and Attomix is that Attomix have never spammed me not once and obviously proving how much more professional the VDJ marketing team are.

I was on the fence about whether to go with PCDJ or VDJ...until I got my MK2, which came with the home edition software. After playing around with it for a while, I knew which one I wanted, and upgraded to the pro version shortly after. I've never regretted that decision - not for a moment!!

Use to use PCDJ and still have it BUT have not fired it up in over two years. Understand maybe being loyal but VDJ is the way to go and you won't regret it.

My first dj software, was the original RED...Which I then got Red-VRM. I was happy with both, I first bought VDJ around version 3.1. I still used Red VRM as a primary (for cocktails/dinner), and CD's for my primary playing. Then version 4 of VDJ hit and the stability made me switch to VDJ (again for cocktails/dinner) as I still didn't trust a PC for my primary playback, but once version 5 came out, I completely retired my CD collection, and haven't looked back. I still use 5 for my entiretire system, and I have been testing in 6 at home, but not ready to make the jump live yet, but I think unless PCDJ does something mind blowing, I will never look that way again....... Let me show you what I love about VDJ most....
Purchased PCDJ Red for $99....had to buy Red-VRM as upgrade for $99....If I wanted to add Karaoke another $129....If I wanted to ad video, scratching, effects...more money...more money
Purchased VDJ version 3 for $129 (many years ago) with effects and scratching......Got FREE upgrade to ..... Got free upgrade for Kareoke.....Got free upgrade to 5......For FREE upgrade for video.....Got FREE upgrade to 6.......Got FREE upgrade to the FUTURE of DJing on a PC!

Hmmmm, started with mp3s and VTT (Virtual TurnTables) in 1998, 11 years ago!!!
When XP came out VTT wouldn't run properly on it as it was originally written for Windows '95 and was no longer supported by the developer. So, tried OTSDJ for a while in 2001 then switched to the original PCDJ Blue in 2002 with DMC-01 then the original PCDJ RED (rock solid!), used it for about 3-4 years. Eventually upgraded to PCDJ FX then FX VRM. Had lots of problems with VRM not working properly on my laptop. Then decided to switch to Traktor for about 2 years and was quite happy until Video appeared on the market. Bought PCDJ VJ and used it for a few weeks at Christmas 07. After many problems, I believe due to their Softwrap protection, I bought VDJ and have never looked back since. :-)
Must've spent a small fortune as I bought all these programs and still have them on my now retired gig laptop.
Hmmm, think I'll go check the VTT site (Carrrot Inovations), haven't been on there for years. :-)
Suprisingly the site is still there but the message board is unavailable.

Yeah, I started with PCDJ Red in 1999, but soon after I moved to a laptop with Win 2000 and they kept delaying and delaying the updated version. It then came out and was riddled with bugs and they kept locking me out of my own locence which meant many expensive calls from the UK to US.
I then moved on to BPM Studio which gave me many years of pleasure, but Alcatech slipped badly behind with updates and all their equipment and updates were horrendously expensive. The even charge to upgrade BPM Studio from XP to Vista WTF????
Been with VDJ for about 18 months now and it is far far better. Still not migrated to V6 due to my controller working so well under 5.2 so it looks like I'm stuck.
Yeah, PCDJ are shocking, and after the Reflex debacle it seems nothing has changed much since 1999 .........

PCDJ would like you to buy at least 1 of each of their products. And then they'll discontinue it and have something else to buy. I get all the spam...but you should be able to remove yourself from the list if you want to.
Red Mobile and Dex are their new products. the Dex skin is far too complicated for me to think about using. I actually like Red Mobile....but after the Reflex, VJ, and Venue VJ madness...I don't think I'll be throwing much money their way.
I''ve still got some testing with VDJ and my hc4500 before I sign up, but so far everything looks good. I should be signing up this week.

I didn't get the point of Reflex, they built it up big time n when it came out it didn't do anything other than get the existing FX user's to buy it.
What were the advantages? It didn't do video or karaoke.

Reflex was a bad ass mixing program. But when it was finally released, it was way short on the features that were advertised during the years of being built up on the boards. And there was only 1 update which didn't add a whole lot that people were wanting. Over promising and under delivering.
