I am wondering what is the best solution in terms of visuals (such as skins) when it comes to DJing outside in bright settings. I find it difficult to see the screen sometimes and wonder what other people are doing. (besides djing in the shage of course)
Also, does anyone know if Vista has a function in its OS to switch to a color negative screen? I saw that Macs are able to do it, and I'm wondering how can switch to a negative screen format.
Thank you.

Use tethered sand bags to keep it anchored in windy situations.

you could always dj from the back of a van......... that way at the end you can just close the doors and drive away. .....well after packing in your speakers and lights.

There are skin solutions here that can make your screen easier to view on bright days (I helped work on one myself), but they are only available to pro users.

You could also use weights with slots cut into them for each leg ;)

Yeah, you're right, I had forgotten about the coffee cans with the base cemented in them. You need to keep it secured on the ground or it will fly away like a kite. I've seen these things at the beach, river and even swap-meets fly hundreds of feet or more on a sudden gust of wind!
I've seen guys connect lights on these things like a truss, make sure it's a sturdy one before doing that though.

I couldn't agree more! DON'T attach ANYTHING to your canopy unless you are absolutely sure that it is secure!! Otherwise, the canopy isn't the only thing you'll lose!

Hey Terry, good looking out. You can get an 10 x 10 EZ up, with all the extras at Sams Club. I forgot what I paid, but it was a good deal. I may use it tomorrow, so maybe I'll take some pics. I still can't remember how to post them, so will need some help.

You can also change the cursor from black to white with Dj Cel's tool pack in the download section.
Got stuck like this once...once
Had set up under total clouds, then the sun popped out and was right behind me.
I ended up running playlists till the sun moved behind the trees a bit.
Know your pain though, have a pop up myself.
