Tópico: Name That Tune!

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

At about:15 the song begins...Who is the Artist and the name of the song? The song uses like an Italian or Spanish traditional accordion sample in it.

The dude mixing here is obviously a noob but you can't shoot him for trying! lol

I was thinking Daft Punk, Who Da Funk (Shiny Disco Balls) or Simian Mobile Disco but I don't know.

Anyway, anybody know this song?

Nevermind...through diligent research I found it and it turns out I actually own it. It's on a compilation album I got from Beatport last year. thanks to VDJ when I found the name of the song through searching Google using special search tactics. I then put the artist's name into VDJ's browser and it came up!

Samim - Heater

Is this considered "House?"

DJ RuDe

Yeah, definitly House Music! I would label it Latin Electro, sometimes it's so hard to put a name on alot of House it's become mixed with so many different rhythms...

But , they can change it all they want in many different ways rhythms, melodies etc....

What you can't ever miss is the constant 4/4 beat! It gives it away everytime, that's what you always look for.

Yep,

Big tune over here and all over Europe about 18 months ago. You can find it on a lot of Ibiza comp CD's still.

Was big about a year ago, the accordion sample is from a folk song from like Kazakhstan or the like-lol No joke.

Youre tottally wrong... acctually its a Folkloric Cumbia song from Colombia... i dont remember the name of the cumbia rigth know...but im gonna search & post it...

I've heard the song a million times on Sirius Satellite Radio's Electronica channel (Area 38) since early last year, I just never noted the song's title or artist.

The song uses not just the accordion sample but also other sounds from a Columbian Cumbia song by Alberto Pacheco called "La Cumbia Cienaguera".

Definitely Spanish, rather than Russian or Slavic, but all of that type music originated from all around Europe and some has combined with beats from African styles.

YEahhh!! that's the song... La cumbia Cienaguera....
