if you dont know, now you do...

Bills designs are the pinnacle of speaker designs and cost 1/4 the price of the top name brand speakers....

i currently own and built two OmniTop 12's and two Tuba 30's.. and no lie, my system owns all other systems

I built 2 titan Subs 14" wide and 24" tall with a 10" driver.

Sounds incredible. when placed in a together with a V Plate they are louder, and smoother than any double 18" sub I have ever heard.
There is an Excellent Tutorial for placement of subwoofers to gain maximum performance from them.

It talks a lot about Folded horn subs (cause that's what bill likes the most) but I've found that by following the advise in that tutorial with the Bass reflex sub in my B-52 System it has dramatically improved the sound quality of the system

you use the horns with the b-52 subwoofer?

No. I use the Horns with other speakers. The B-52 is a complete system it does not require anything else with it.

oh, ok.. i get what ur saing... you corner place your direct radiating sub to increase spl such as bill recommends you do with horn loaded woofers

Exactly, By following that advise ablout sub-woofer placement I improved the bass to my B-52 system dramatically. Proper sub -woofer placement technique is often overlooked.

Until I read that tutorial and gave what it said a try I would just slap the sub down where ever and crank the hell out of it.

Just ordered my plans for the Tuba 24's. I plan to build two, will post photos as I progress.

Great reading thanks for the tip. I have a question for you Marcel, so when you follow the tip where do you place your tops?

I place them as wide as Possible. They fill the room better.

Also try and place them As far forward as possible as well, this helps with Mic Feedback (Loud annoying squeal)

Thanks for that. I will try that setup next time. I too use B-52s tops and folded horns for subs but never thought about placement in this way.
