Hey everyone!! I'm shopping for a new Laptop so that I can mix video.....any recommendations? I know the recommend config calls for dedicated memory...but I'm having a hard time finding one for under $1000.
Thanks for the help.

Just one.... don't buy a laptop for video or cross your fingers and buy a rabbit's foot before you buy a laptop for video.

A few days ago, I bought a Macbook pro Like New condition for 750 on craigslist. Its a 2.4 Core 2 duo with 4 gigs of ram and a 200 gig hard drive. The Video card is NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB. You will find many great deals in this website

I have a Dell Inspiron with a AMD Turion 64 X 2 2.0 Ghz dual core and its blazing fast. I have been dj ying many clubs and tons of private gig with no problems. The Dell AMD is faster than my just sold Macbook pro. The Macbook pro was a 2.16 core duo with 2 gigs of ram.
