Hi i run virtual DJ with the most up to date version. I use the gigapor Ag to connect from my computer to my external mixer. The problem that i have is that 1 channel is always lower than the other. I was recently at the DJ convention in Atlantic City NJ, and spoke to a rep from virtual Dj, and they told me to download ASIO drivers. They said that i should select that for my sound card, because it will have a program that i can adjust the levels with. I would love any input,

what you have to do is when u install the software for gigaport ag is to go thru their software and change the level and stuff and on virtual dj ..go to settings and for sound card use ASIO and it will say..gigaport and go on from there

If you want good sound, spend money on a great soundcard and not something cheap...

The most obvious quick fix is to adjust the gains on your mixer. That's why they are there.

get the asio drivers and set up the card properly under soundsetup
good soundcards start at about $200 and up in my opinion .....
but we're just dj's ..... who needs good sound ??
the drivers will be on the install disc and may need to be updated .....
otherwise download them from the vendor's website, keep a copy of important stuff like this on a thumb drive for future use
if you install the card properly and then have skips there are several routine tweaks you may need to perform to make the skips go away

iI have the same problem. My right channel is much louder and sometimes goes screwy on my ext. Denon mixer. I cleaned all the sliders and connectors and still have the same problem. It sometimes goes away as the night goes on, but always starts up in the beginning. I jiggled the USB coming out of the Gigapot and realized it's the card. I will try to play with the asio or re-install the software. mike

In addition to a quality soundcard, get one of these. Never failed for me.

For you all guys who want the best sound you could get in a soundcard now, check Echo AudioFire 4 (or 8 or 12 if you want) all this one have the best sound by far I can test. AudioFire 4 could be found for $299 in many Music or DJ Equipment Stores.
