Tópico: Removing played songs from playlist - Page: 1

Esta parte del tópico es antigua y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Is there a way for VDJ to remove songs from the playlist automatically? When I select "Remove Played" it removes the ones it has played thus far but does not stay active and keep removing the played songs. Is there a way to change this setting? I have looked everywhere and can't find a way.

Ahhhhh... the perfect question!!!

Every other program I've ever used has the built-in ability to remove a song from the playlist once its been played.

I haven't found a way to do this with VirtualDJ yet... perhaps someone has a way?

Use the Side list. Voila

Is that the side list at the bottom or the side list at the side?????

If you drag a song from the sidelist onto a deck it will disappear from the sidelist.

1. Just highlight the Red played files in your browser, right click and choose remove, CAUTION if you’re playing from a populated virtual/favorite/filtered folder you will remove that file totally from that folder.

2. If in Automix highlight the Red played files then press Delete on your keyboard.

3. In Automix uncheck Repeat so the songs won't play again, but you still have to delete to remove from list.

That does not work for me.
I am using 6.02 as well as 5.02 and neither removes the song when loaded onto a deck.

I thought the question was how to remove it from the PLAYLIST ? If so DIZZY is correct, that is how it's done but it's not automatic.

This is the list on the side. Not the one on the bottom.

The list at the side is the playlist
The list at the bottom is the sidelist.

I think the naming adds to confusion as both lists work in seperate ways.

Perhaps the list at the bottom could be called the waitlist, loadlist or cue list. Having a "side" list at the bottom when the playlist is at the side can cause confusion, especially to one so limited in intelligence as me ......

You right bro. Now im confused. The playlist is what i was talking about

OK, for the playlist (at the side) you either have to click the plus icon and select "remove played" or highlight the track and hit the delete button.

I don't think there's an option to delete them when dragged to the player although this has been discussed in the past.

thanks guys... funny as hell

Glad we keep you entertained :)

Reading it in the way you've presented it is funny as hell!

lol

Can't believe this thread was resurrected after this many months....anyway the original question was if there was a way to remove the already played songs from the PLAYLIST AUTOMATICALLY, yes I know when you MANUALLY drag them onto a deck they will be removed. What I was asking is when in AUTOPLAY mode, after they are played in the playlist they just turn red but remain in the playlist....I would like to have them removed form the playlist without me having to be there to remove them.

I always figured the whole point of AUTOPLAY is to play unattended jukebox style (that's how we use it during the day for background video and music when there is no DJ). It would be nice if the removal of the songs could be done unattended as well.

Yes, but it doesn't help if you want to repeat the entire list when you get to the end, and there is no more list to play ... lol

Yes, it would nice to have a tickable option on the playlist menu that said "Auto Remove"

Cheers,

Roy

If you were in repeat mode this is true, but if you are not in repeat mode then it shouls delete them like every other media player in the world does.

Thanks to everyone for keeping it fun!

Anyway, yes, we're talking about having the songs automatically removed from the (right side) playlist when in AUTOMIX.
It's a feature that I and others asked for several years ago. (Yes, just like every other player out there)

If it were possible to write a plug-in to do this... I'd do it! EXCEPT, when I look at the plug-in types, there's nothing that supports this.

You'd have to get the programmers to make a change.
It's a feature that makes sense to me and everyone I know that uses it -- quite a few in my area.
The songs are automatically added to the history list -- why can't they be removed from the playlist at the same time?

Thanks!

Believe it or not VDJ used to do this.... The feature was removed when they eliminated 2 deck automix.. I think there was a real movement to get VDJ away from being an "auto" player versus a tool for "real DJs"....

I think some of us agree.. if you click remove after played it should remove it from the automix list...

Hence why I still use 4.3 Thousands of gigs and thousands of dollars later I guess I'm still not a "real DJ"... but damm my house is nice :-)
