I do like Virtual DJ but I am having a heck of a time getting video effects to work at all. I first tried with Virtual DJ 5.x and then I saw the Beta for 6.x was out so I also tried that and I am still not getting anything to work but ClipBank and SlideShow. So no luck with Boom, Boom_Auto or PandoraBox. I have no idea what these even look like.

Any help is most appreciated. I would really like to have something in Virtual DJ like the Visualizer that iTunes has where it moves and changes with the beat of the music. That would be the ultimate.

As an FYI, the only Video Effects (as of today) that are available for the Mac version of Virtual DJ are

shakersquare
strips
squares
grow
spiral
size fall
light fall
slide 3d
cinemascope
curtain
rhombus
pandora

None are as nearly as cool as the sonique collection of 84 different visual effects but only available for Windows Users.
 
Looking for a Video Effect for Audio Only files and so far I have been unsuccessful. All the Video Effects shown above are for Videos Only and not all of them work. The coolest one is Pandora and only works with video.

WHere or WHere is the VIDEO EFFECTS for AuDiO Only files ? ? ? ? Anyone, Bueler Bueler Atomix?
 
why not try the clipbank?
 
 
I believe i'm having the same issue! I play both Music Videos aswell as mp3 (until i videos of every song, ha ha!) but when i play a mp3 the screens around the club just go blank....any ideas????! i've selected the plugin but none of them work (boom, auto boom etc) i've tried them all.... i've even looked to see if i can get a new plugin in so the screens have something on them when i play just mp3's but they all seemed to be based for Windows!
Any help on getting something on the screens for when i'm playing mp3 files????
 
On Mac OS your only current choice is clipbank ;)
 
I'm a new user so please bear with me. What file types are agreeable with clipbank? I've tried importing the sonique exe files and get error messages. I've tried importing a .mov file and that didn't work either. Any way to make visualizations or something similar work on my Mac?

I also get this error message on the internet tab under settings. "Connected - Free Limited Membership" but I've paid for Pro. Not sure if these are related. Any help is appreciated.

The NetSearch isn't related; that simply means you haven't subscribed to the Premium Membership scheme.

With respect to video files in clipbank, most video files should work (so not Sonique) and I thought MOV did. I'm unable to check as I don't have a Mac I'm afraid, so I will leave that to someone who can.
 
Clipbank doesn't't work as one would expect it to. I have not been able to get it to automatically start when I play an mp3. If I go into clipbank while an audio file is playing and select a clip, it will play one time. I have 10 clips loaded, and would expect that they would auto start and would continuously loop. This is not the behavior it is exhibiting, however, so I share in the frustration. I end up with a black screen as well. Still images work using slides, but how boring is that?
 
its because you aren't setting it up properly

you need to go into the effects tab video effects then secondary click on one of the loaded video clips, then choose the loop option from the pop up window. Then on the video panel inside the config, go to the video tab and select when no video use clip bank then it will work as expected.
