Ok so ive looked in the forums for answer to this and got some great tips but.... I've downloaded many codecs to record video, but the only one that has worked for me leaves me with very very low quality videos, so my question is, what codec are you guys using to record videos?
Yes i have FRAPS but i have to re-wire the computer in order for it to record off the Herc RMX, looking for other alternatives...

I've use ffdshow with xvid in the past. One thing to bear in mind is that the video record is done at the resolution of the video window (or the screen resolution in fullscreen mode).
