I can buy a Sony VGN-FW465J/B for $1149 (no tax on military base). Does anyone have any input for me? I know the consensus is desktop for video. I don't really mix vids but plan to have on portable HD and play. I also will be doing karaoke. I don't connect turntables or any controllers at this point. I do have the Total Control but rarely use it. I do classic rock, rock, country, Top 40, and a little Hip Hop. The specs seem pretty good but need some expert advice. This link has the spec page.

The laptop is good but its alot of money. One thing you dont need for dj ying.. is the Blu-ray player. The 2 main things you need is a good processor & Good amount of ram. A dell 1535 studio is good. They cost less.
