I fellow Dj and licensed user of Virtual DJ came to me with an issue when he is using Karaoke files and Mac. The are all zipped files

His system - MacBook Pro 13inch 10.5.8 & VDJ 5.21

Mine iMac 10.6.1 and VDJ 6.0.2 & Mac Book Pro 10.5.6 and VDJ 5.2.1

All of these machines are experiencing the same issue with Karaoke

The files read correctly for a few minutes then you loose them, u can search for the karaoke files and select them but VDJ crashes when the they are selected. More importantly why are the files no longer visible when the should be in their folders.

To recreate, click on the left browser and use the arrow keys to go up and down folders of karaoke songs, after s short period of doing this the songs will stop displaying.

I could not believe it when I saw it first.

Things that I have tried,

-verify disk
-repair permissions
-readded the karaoke folder

When you re-launch VDJ the files return

Can someone offer some assistance

This problem has been there for a while now.

I havent tried it with 6.0.2 yet, as i havent had a need to plug my KJ drive in.

Message: I am having problems with VDJ picking up my karaoke files.

I have the files in ZIP files but sometimes virtual dj will find them during a search and other times it wont.

There seems to be no pattern with it.

This is an issue that has been reported to the developers for resolution in the next update.

Yep thats exactly what happened to me.

VERY frustrating that it still isn't resolved. I assume you're using 6.0.2??
