Tópico: Getting enough usb power for Audio 4 DJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Just wondering if anyone else has any problems with getting dropouts with their USB soundcard.
I just purchased the NI Audio 4 DJ, and after playing for about 10 seconds, it shuts off for a few seconds, comes back, and repeatly happens.
I posted on their forums, and it's a known issue.
From what I've read, it's that the usb ports aren't getting enough power, and that it's causing the soundcard to shut down. I wish it had an ac adapter.

Any ideas from you guys what I should do?

Try a powered hub

Mine did that a couple of times the 2nd day I had it, Using Traktor Pro and 3d and 3m plugged in separately. Didn't happen when using the 3m as hub, so yea, I think it's a power issue.

Never had it happen with VDJ 6.

This soundcard requires 476mA on your port.
So running it on a additional powered hub is necessary then.

I was thinking about getting a PMCIA card, that has an ac adapter, and 2 usb 2.0 outputs on it.

I have this sound card with no problem: I tested that without Timecode.
