I was wondering if you guys can help me here. Suppose I was playing Turntable 1, and I want to introduce Turntable 2 but while starting it with a 8 beat, or 16 beat loop or any of the other ones VDJ has for us-- Right now this is what I'm doing-
Before I introduce the track I click on the 16 beat loop button, I have the song cued at that spot. and then I hit the play button. Sometimes I'm right on the money, other times I'm a 1/8 to a 1/4 beat off--Then i have to do a manual nudge on the turntable or on the VDJ system? Which is better nudging on the turntable or on the VDJ software. Of course I would love to start on beat. Is there any way to do that? Is that what the Arrow ==> is for? Is that what the BPM button is for next to it?
I know I had beat sync on Atomix but I don't know how to use it on this one.
Thanks guys.

If you can't seem to hit your cue correctly then I would suggest that you do a few things...
you can loop your beat with an 8 or 16 beat loop intro to the next track. BEFORE you cross fade over to it, make sure that it is beatmatched with the track that is playing and then cross fade over to it. Or you can activate the SYNC function when you want to mix them together. I don't use TCVs but I would think that you would always want to manually nudge the turntable itself. I don't know what skin you use but most skins have the SYNC function on them.
But the best thing is practice, practice and more practice.

madd sound... i just use the default one, is there a better one for TCVor all they all the same/ preference. It has the snyc button... By the way, that's exactly how I do it right now- however the look seems to be a little bit off sometimes.. like the loop is not exact. so i try to speed it up... so when the loop starts over, even though it's on beat through the 16 beat loop, when it starts over it's a bit off again...
What do u use the sync button for? Do you have to only hit the sync buttton on the turntable you are introducing in order to start them on beat or on both of the turntables?

The SYNC button brings the beats of both decks into alignment. If you are playing deck 1 and you load a song into deck 2, when you start to play deck 2 just activate the sync button. That will bring both songs into sync. It works almost like a play button. Now when it comes to TCVs I am not sure how it works because I don't have them.

He is referring to the default skin turntables, not TCV.
There is a mixing tutorial here on the main index.
It's trial, error and loads of practice.
A lot easier to learn thanks to this program.

A: Program your L/R arrow keys for nudge, that is what I do
B: Program so you can do everything via keyboard
C: I program volume and nudge so it can be done with L or R hand
D: If everything is lined up correctly (about 60% does not need correction in my experience) you could hit the synch button
