My question is can both decks in virtual dj be controled w/ only one cdj or turntable ?

Most definitely,Just select single timecode in the options for Timecode. When playing with one cdj or turntable use the Tab button to switch timecode control between decks.

Thanks for the info djlivstrong thats cool. I always use two lap tops .I use a dell w/ the hercules mk2 for most gigs and i have a maya 44 sound card i use w/ a prodigy b52 cd mixer w/ time codes and a hp laptop. The prodigy is not a reliable unit and i wanted to replace it. If I can use one cdj I can get something great like a pioneer or denon or even a tech mk2 tt I always use two laptops so i ave instant back up. One tech mk2 w/time code on the hp lap and my hercules mk2 on the dell laptop my setup will have the best of both worlds scratch cababilities w/ the tt and midi, samples effects cross fade from the hercules. This setup will be old school and hi tech.
