Hey, does anyone know when the Christmas layout of the site is coming in because I want to get that Christmas feeling here on the forums long in advance to Christmas. Can't wait.lol

Do you not get enough "christmas feeling" from TV, newspapers, radio and all the other over the top commercial hype?

Decorations have been in the shops since September and I'm truly sick of it already. Won't be long before the punters at my venue start asking for bloody Mariah Carey yet again. At least this forum in one place to escape the whole thing .......

Anyway, it's not Christmas any more, it's called "winter festival" incase you upset someone :)

P.S. what's everyone's most asked for Xmas songs, will be interesting to see how it varies by country or region?
 

It's bloody to early, and I don't care what any one say's. You can call me old fashioned if you like, but it's still only November!!!!!!!
 
It's worse than that... My wife is a Merchandiser and delivers to Supermarkets. They already have their Easter Eggs out back ready to put out on Jan 1st!!!

I gave my Christmas wish list to Santa. And all I want for Christmas is VDJ to fix the sound quality when using TC engine 4. I could see the jolly 'ole man laughing his fat ass off as he's reading my wish. Sorry Jimmy, I know it's early, lol!

No, Father christmas was born in the land of nodd, humberside, uk, Unless your talking about Jesus? I prefer father christmas out of the two of them anyway:)

Agreed. Father Christmas any day... But it was difficult not to say anything... It was a "Chandler Bing" moment...

Jesus is the reason for Christmas not all those gifts etc. I do agree that i'll like another update as my Christmas gift from the vdj team with couple updates.

Actually, Christmas was started as a pagan winter festival celebrating trees (hence the symbol of the christmas tree, they were sort of the original tree huggers...you Californian's will get that). The Christians just adopted it because they couldn't agree when Jesus was actually born so they just sort of jump on the band wagon and arbitrarily celebrate his birthday on a day most of the world was already celebrating anyway so they could convince them selves that all the people of the world were worshiping him....but really it was the trees, which ironically was used to make the wooden shoes the Dutch would put out for to be filled with stuff.

Think that's kind of how it goes, there are so many different traditions in so many different countries I can't keep them all straight. All I know is with the price of coal these days I wish I had been a little bad this year!!!!!
 
I like to dress my house up as Christmas for Hallowe-en just to cheese my neighbours off! Works every year lol
