I switched from vinyl to fully CD in 1994 then from CD to laptop in 1999. Believe me, it's easy to do now as you've said, but 10 years ago it was horrendous. My first DJ laptop had a 20gb hard drive and cost £2500. Windoze 2000 had major problems with audio drivers, multi-channel sound cards were seriously expensive and PCDJ was shockingly bad. You guys moving from CD to PC nowadays have it real easy!

Was in the same boat, we went from CDs to PCDJ Red (STABLE) then to FX (Well insert your own comments here). Then moved to 2 300 disc DVD players while runnin Red for audio, then to VDJ. Yup it was a pain in the butt, but man is it soooooo much better and easier. Spend the time to rip and tag correctly or you will be doin it again (or like me for the 4th time) to get it all where it needs to be.
