So I never really do New Year's Resolutions but i'm looking to take djing to the next level and do something with it. So i'm deciding to try to become a Club Dj or hell why not a radio dj if i get lucky haha. Right now im really only doing house parties and i'd like to take it to the next level and try to do some clubs. I have gotten some promoters from clubs come up to me while i dj telling me they like what they hear and they get my number ive never gotten theres i guees i should start getting there number and get in contact with them that might help for the resolution. I'm 20 right now going to college but right now i feel tired of school and feel like i need a brake. Only thing that i really know what i want to do is dj i have djing in my blood my uncles dj'ed my dad djed and i love music. i dont know but anyone have any tips for me to get into the club dj scene or might be able to help me out. Check out some of my sample mixes myspace.com/djfreddieg and let me know what you think what i could improve anything. The mixes are pretty old but im trying to get new stuff up there soon.
Thanks in advance

Whats Popping Freddie G..To get into the club scene, you need to make demo cd's. before you make a demo cd, you got to focus more on your timing. You have the skillz to play but work on that. Another thing is work on your song selection. Practice alittle more and you should be good to go. DJ iing in a club is alot different from a House party etc. You have to be consistant with the music. There are no breaks like a private party. Where in the Usa are you fred ?
Do you smell that..... Something is burnning. Its DD DJcaliente NYC. Burnning up dance floors nation wide.

Hi mate
If you are also looking at the radio side I would suggest getting in contact with your local hospital. LOL
No, not because I think you need to get your head examined. Most larger hospitals have a hospital radio station. Many of these are run by people on a volentary basis so getting your foot in the door can be easyer than with a radio station. Build up some experience with this and then start to approach your local commercial radio stations.
Good luck with whatever you decide to go for.
