The newer drivers in SP3 override the SP2 ones, so you can't "delete" a service pack.

VDJ runs fine on XP service pack 3.

Give us some details of what you are actually trying to achieve with this?

just basically going through my system(add/remove) to see what i need and dont need.dont want to do anything bad as running smooth at the mo

If you just installed sp3 you can perform a system restore back to SP2. I had to since my pc was totally unusable with sp3, to the point it was almost a dead laptop with a pretty wallpaper.

But other then a restore i dont believe you can uninstall sp3, it runs good for most just not on my machine for some reason.

If it's running fine then just leave as is.

yeh will do mate.just learning as i go

Im looking at he same thing. In my add and remove, I have 3 sps. Can you remove previous sps i.e 1 and 2 without problem?

lol knew ther was someone else like me out there.as i said i will leave it as vdj working well

My advice is to leave them alone. All a service pack does is update the windows system files to a newer version if required. The older versions are then stored away should you need to roll a driver back.

I guess if you did try to uninstall a service pack it would fall over anyway .... if you are not desperate for hard drive space then don't touch. Simple as that.

and thus ends thread.thank kradcliffe mate

Yup leave it alone.
