You can have as many controllers connected as limited by the connection type used .. usually USB which means 127 ...
There is no 'midi' file limitation as each unique controller that has a definition defined for it uses it's own mapper file.
So, can you have the DJM5000, RMX, and a future HD2500 connected all at the same time? Yes.
Do you use all the same actions for mapping? Not sure what you are asking here ... the RMX and HD2500 are already mapped to the basic functionality - and if you customize the mappings they the mappings are stored in the unique mapping files. All the 'action words' or 'verbs' are the same with all the controllers - so Yes, I guess is the answer to your question.
The software that came with the DJM5000 ... hmmm ... the only thing that you should be installing from Pioneer is the Audio Drivers for the DJM5000. The DJM5000 is not currently mapped in VirtualDJ for a couple of reasons ... I think I answered another post of yours with regard to this same question ... recommend you read this thread - http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/119414/General_Discussion/DJM_5000___VirtualDJ.html
