1. I would like to know if it's still necessary to use the registry tool for my nVidia 8600 GT Video card drivers.
2. I've downloaded and install the new drivers for my video card which is ver.195.62_notebook_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe.
3. If it's still recommended to use this tool, there is no instructions on how to use it, all the options on the program is making me a little nerves since I don't know what or how to apply changes on any of these options and it is a Registry tool so, I'm looking for a little help here before I use it.

The Registry Tool option is only a check box ... what instructions do you need ??
IF you have the video freezes then you check the nVidia fix in the tool and see if the video doesn't freeze. If the box is checked and since you just upgraded your drivers, then maybe uncheck the option and see if you still have issues.
Also, not that I would suggest making changes for a show .. but why have you not gone to v6 ?

No, the settings are stored permanently until changed.

Well since I posted I've upgraded to 6.5 and though there was an improment in the upgrade I still had some issues with the video, but I found an alternate solution with two programs that I started to use which has improved my video issues to the point of Happiness!!!
The first thing I use was a Game Booter Program that turns off background services not vital for VDJ operations., Link:http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html?Str=download
The second thing is a program to manage memory " Momory Improve Master" which made the difference., Link:http://www.memoryimprovemaster.com/memory_improve/index.htm
One of your support staff answered my RFI on the register tool and I downloaded the right one.
I haven't used the registry tool yet, but will it hurt if I do?

The registry tool won't hurt anything permanently.
If you change a setting, take a note of it. If it doesn't work out, shut down VDJ, change the setting back then restart.

I've never use the VDJ registry toll, does it give you a reading of what is in the registry key to be edited and what is going to be changed?
The reason I ask is because if I need to revert back to the original key then I would need to copy or somehow backup that key before editing.
Is there a backup option in the registry tool and if not, what would be the procedure to accomplish this task before editing.
