hi guys i have just had to reinstall my system following a hdd failing..luckily i only lost software and some documents..
but now, since the new install every time i try to install my herc driver set, i get a blue screen crash that tells me the drivers were the problem.
now ive installed my herc drivers on several machines without ever having a problem. but now its happening every time.
anyone got any ideas as to what might be causing it???

Are you trying to install the latest driver version (4.HDJS.2009) ?
Which DJ Console are you trying to install exactly?

oh erm sorry for my lack of elaboration,
im trying to install the herc mp3 controll. the drivers are the out of the box drivers.
normally i have had a slight problem where i install the herc, vista says this device is not installed properly. then i get the option to re-install with recommended settings..which i do and it usually works fine.
only this time its not working its just crashing my system..

I would recommend using the latest driver instead of the ones you have in the box ( which may be old ).
As well, after having reinstalled Vista, did you do all the operatiing system updates (at least Service Pack 2 (SP2)) would be required.

ah thats probably my problem, no i havent updated it yet..i just needed to get back up and running due to me finally getting my soundcard. ill have to get back to youin a couple of days and let you know how things go because im thinking of upgrading to windows 7
