As I recall, there is aa appfor the iPhone that allows you to control basic functions of serato straight from your phone. Might work with vdj. So far, that's all we got. Or just get a netbook if you're looking for portability to the extreme.

There is already an app to control vdj by general midi, itouch midi or something lke that ....

Hi!
Thanks! This is only a remote control!
It should wery nice if you cold play virtualDJ in the ipone and skip the compjuter! I cant find an application ho can fix this!

Best regards,

IMHO a DJ-application on a phone is useless for anything even half-serious.

- You can't cue/prelisten your tracks, because there is only one audio-out
- There are not USB-ports, so you can't connect an external sound card, mixer etc.
- Poking a tiny screen instead of proper buttons, knobs etc. is miles away from being usable.

Hi!
-Off corse its posibe to connect the iphone to a mixer, check the "Apple Composite AV Cable".
-why use an external soundcard when you use the mixer soundcard?
-You can cue/prelisten in you mixer phone.

Only thing we need, is people that think positive and the first person who can fix this application have take hudge step in virtualDJ future.

I've been looking around for a similar idea. I don't want to lose the computer all together, however I wanted to be able to control my software from anywhere in the room. Whether in a bar or at a wedding if I decided to play a different song that what was set I didn't have to rush back to the stage.

Just last night I downloaded an app on my iphone, "jaadu vnc," and played with it at the bar last night. As of right now this app does require the phone and computer to have an internet wifi connection, and it is $25, however they are working on a LAN solution for it. This app, along with some free software and drivers on your computer gives you complete control of your computer right on your iphone. I was able to walk around and talk to people without having to run back up every 3 minutes to change the song. Simply pulled out my phone then loaded and played the next song without ending conversation.

Hope this is helpful, at the least its fun to use.

You're just not getting the point. The main problem is that it's not possible to get two stereo outputs from iPhone.

No problem... Just use two iPhones. One for each channel. Then when one rings you can flip to the other one and take the incoming call... lol

How an app for us Blackberry users?? I feel left out, lol.

ha ha, this thread makes me chuckle. p.s. can I use my bluetooth headset to dj with to save me picking up the mic? and can someone hump my gear in for me and DJ for me aswell?
