did anyone , or is anyone intending to purchase the mixdeck....it seems like a nice unit.....especially because hercules have yet to improve on the RMX.............NEED SOME FEEEDBACKS..THA NKS

I PICKED the numark mixdeck UP ON THE 14 OF JAN. I AM USING IT W/ JUMP DRIVE and tccd to control vdj. the sound card be used by vdj usb staight from laptop to the mix deck. the a and b decks show up on left and right deck of the numark. For time code i use the maya44 and have had no problems. I have the time code signal on cd and on jump drive and it works either way. The touch sensitive jog wheels are great. I really like the whole unit. I cant wait to get my hands on a mapper so it can contrl vdj via midi. Until it gets mapped the time code will be just fine. I also have two hercules mk2's so i am covered for back up and i always carry a second laptop .
 
how much did u pay and where can i buy mine, i am in canada, so i think i may have to order it......and does the cd section works well..is ther a flaw so far....
 
I PURCHASED the numark mixdeck AT SAM ASH A LOCAL music STORE. SO FAR EVERY THING WORKS JUST FINE. I really love it. i think it was a great buy. I used it at two gigs already w/ not one problem. Paid 699.00. The one that i have is all black.
 
is it bigger than the hercules , or the ns7...............and where can i get that to buy online
 
Marlonb its smaller than the ns7 and larger than the hercules. Its not just a midi software controler it plays cd,mp3 cd , and jump drives, records to ipod via a built in dock. The mixdeck can control ipods navigation and play back once it is in the dock. Dont no where u can pic one up. Probably will be all over the net in a month or so. When u get one let me know how you like it.
 
Dj Depot in Toronto has it and PA shop in London can order it as well, they ship it to you.
 
I suggest you to read this thread before buying.
Its about Mixdeck MIDI limitations.
 
I think the numark mixdeck is good stuff. It feels right to me. It does everything they say it can do and more. Touch sensitive jog wheels on poit for scrtching and cueing. It records to ipod. The cross fader can be set tu auto start the incoming deck from the cue point in cd,mp3 and jump drive mode. So the auto cross fader works w/ time coded cd. You can also control vdj w/ the time code on jump drive. no effcts w/ time code but its okay because vdj has built in effects. This will be a great controler once it is mapped to work w/ vdj. The sound card will work w/ vdj sends audio left and right deck a and b via usb connection. For time code I use the maya 44.

Im working on a midi mapper for mixdeck. It currently has everything working except for the scratch I have to make a device file for that. But I am running timecode for that. If anybody has one that would be great.
 
Any news on the mixdeck if its fully mapped with virtual dj yet. I am waiting for a yes so I could make my purchase. Thanks so much guys.

So, I just got my MIXdeck and I love the unit, I don't play videos so, the mixer not being midi is not important, but, I have 1 little problem.


I can't use the crossfader on the mixdeck, right deck plays on biths channel.

Does anybody has the settings for inputs, output and sound card?
 
Inputs - None
Outputs - External Mixer
Soundcard - ASIO -> MixDeck
** Put check in the Ultra Latency box
 
But I use Mac Leopard, so, no asio
 
[But I have a Mac Leopard and on the output I have only 3 options, mono separated, 2 cards and 4-out card with mixdeck option on the left or built in output
 
Then choose the 4-out and then the MixDeck ...
