AFAIK - MPG2 does not support any Tags at all. Try to use instead MP4 - there is a full support for tagging. (http://www.mp3tag.de)

actually, mpeg2 can be tagged with TAG & RENAME....I believe it is VDJ that doesn't support mpg2 tags (if I am wrong somebody correct me) but my tags show up in windows directory and I believe they show up in winamp also.

Yep, and be careful some of your vid may not be usable after tagging.

Good Luck

your right, tag N rename does show .mpg files as taggable..
I tried it (putting the tags in with Tag&Ren, but it doesnt show up in windows explorer..? nor WMP..?

Hey guys what do you recomend to use as video format eg.mpeg2 better than mp4? I am using any video converter and I got plenty of choices. What are you guys using for vdj?

if you are not doing your own editing and just using the videos straight off the DVD then by all means mp4 using h264 codec....much better quality bit for bit than mpg2.

The unfortunate part if you do your own editing is that most editing programs use avi or mpgs (or VOB) as the native format so your editing goes much smoother, faster and more accurate (I have lost frames when using mp4 in Sony Vegas). After my editing is done I convert them to mp4 h264 and I can squash the bitrate down to about 4000kbs with the exact same quality as an 8000kbs mpg2
