ok, i'm off to my first gig tonight!!!
Still no Laptop so i'm hauling my entire home PC system with me (not exactly "on the fly")!!! But Its only a house party so it should be ok.

good luck sweetheart. hope you enjoy yourself.dont forget to get there an hour or so before everyone else so oyu can run sound tests and such. you dont want to have to fix problems on the fly on your first gig, though it would be a good learning curve.

definitly show up ahead of time. i just play a house party last weekend.. was running a little late to begin with so people weren't too happy with me.. then had audio problems and took about 45 to 60 minutes to get everything situated and completely back to normal... felt like an idiot and walked away that night like a dog with his tail between his legs.
