Tópico: Using Midi controller as sound card and mixer?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

correct me if im wrong but if i connect a RMX, mk2, bdc3000, omni etc... to my mac, then attach a pair of cd players (ANY CD PLAYERS?) to the midi controller and go through the time code set up (with time coded cd's in cd player) it should work?

like play, pause, cue, hot cues, loops, (effects i dont think so?) pitch, scratch?

im considering buying one of these controllers along with VDJ because if they do the same job as a sound card $200 + and a mixer.. it would save time (no more burning cd's) and i kind of want to move into digital djing

If the controller's soundcard has ASIO drivers, you can use timecodes. If the soundcard is good enough (very low latency) you will do everything you expect, except sound effects. The CD player effects wont works with timecodes. You'll have to use the software audio effects.
With some controllers (as BCDs) is not possible to connect 2 CD players. Before making your decision, be aware with it.
