Tópico: Wireless USB to HDMI video streaming

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Does anyone here using a device to stream videos from their laptops to a projector or HDMI-enabled TV?

I just bought the AT-HDAIR which consists of two parts: one USB connection to my laptop, and one HDMI connection to the TV. IN theory, video signals are transmitted wirelessly from the laptop to TV.

In reality, I'm having problems getting a clear signal on the TV and even when I do the video image is choppy and the sound is delayed by a few seconds.

Does anyone have any solutions for proper setup using these wireless devices?

Or can recommend another option for streaming videos wireless to a remote TV or projector?

Thanks in advance...

You will always get a delay. That's one of the issues of wireless transmission. It's not a problem if your watching a move at home and the sound is coming with the transmitted picture.

However for us DJ's we only transmit the video as our audio is routed through our system. Therefore any wireless solution will always be out of sync.

I'm looking at solving this issue myself at the moment. I'm looking to see whether I can get a decent composite signal transmitted over 30-40ft from the booth to the matrix in the back office, or whether I need to use a balun which will guarantee the distance but obviously cost a lot more.

If I can use composite I can buy the converter and simply hook in to the clubs gear. If I need to use a balun, then I'm gonna have to ask the club to install it which makes it less probable as I am the one pushing to do video - not the club.

In summary - avoid wireless!!!

Cheers,

Roy
