When I first saw the Jellyfish online, I was pretty stoked. I don't know why, it just struck me as a cool looking light. Kinda gimmicky, but different. I finally got one.
My first impression was that the fixture is kinda small. In fact, it is the smallest light I have. But, it is very light. It has no moving parts. It makes no sound. Being LED, it uses little power. I think that's why it isn't very bright. And the pattern it makes isn't very big. My J fives make a much bigger pattern.
But, despite the drawbacks, it is still a pretty cool light. Although, the patterns aren't large, it makes interesting patterns. It makes interesting colors. I think the case being clear shows the patterns and colors a bit better. The beams dance around quite a bit. The chase effect is pretty awesome and sometimes, two chases cross, which is cool. Like most lights, it looks better with a bit of fog or haze. Without the haze, it wouldn't do much.
I don't regret my purchase, but I don't think I would get another. I like having it in my arsenal, but don't really see the need for another. If one is interested, I would suggest seeing one live first. 3 out of 5 stars.

Funny, I just bought a American DJ LED Messenger and I can't get the bast%ard to work and I was going to do my review as a video review. I'll do it and add it to this topic.
