Hey guys,

long time reader first time poster here. I bought myself a hercules dj control mp3 e2 to get a feel for djing, im also running VDJ 6 pro 6.0.6.

Ive got pretty much a lot of the programs features figured out however i am seriously struggling to find the feature to cue songs in my headphone.

So basically what im trying to do is to be able to

- Listen to one track on DECK A on the speakers while having the song i wanna mix into it on DECK B on my headphones.

I am seriously ripping my hair out trying to figure this out.

I have bought an external sound card and set the output to 3-mixer line and the sound card to 4.1 and 1.

Speakers are on primary while headphone are set on usb device.

Any help would be much appreciate and thanks in advance guys

There is no 6.0.6 Professional Version - I think you mean the Trial Version of VDJ ?
You better take a look which version you use exactely because they differ in so many points.

Which Soundcard are you using ? Is it ASIO or WDM ?

Try to set iz up as 2-Channel Mixer (3 Channel possible is only if your card supports 3x stereo output).

Im pretty sure its 6.0.6 pro, cause i just checked under the info tab of the software.

im not sure what the difference between ASIO and WDM is? how do i check for this?

Well if you got a Hercules controller, you should have a control panel for it.there should be an icon on the bottom right of your screen, click on it and it should open the control panel.next look for a place to select asio or wmd and select.try both but it should work better with ASIO.

The MP3e2 doesn't have a sound card.

In a basic setup using two sound cards (Built-in laptop + external USB), you would normally have the following settings:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound cards: Two cards (Choose your laptop's card for the first card, and external card for the second card)

NOTE: For best results, you should use a dedicated external two channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO or Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ.

thank you so much to the last person who posted in the thread, that is excactly the information which i needed.
